THE WORLD YOUTH PARLIAMENT (WYP) 2010 GETS GOING IN ITALY

With our eyes set towards the next International Session of the World Youth Parliament 2010, the First Seminary was unfolded in Rome: “The Person: struggle and competition...or overcoming ones personal limits?” directed towards young people from mid-southern Italy.
This seminary offered participants some guidelines for reflection, necessary for editing the “Magna Charta of Values for a new civilization.” Through open dialogue, these young persons have expressed their worries and their proposals.
The topics were introduced by Prof. Paolo Armellini, researcher in History of Political Doctrines in the University of Political Sciences “Sapienza” located in Pomezia; by Dr. Montserrat Lafuente, Psychiatric Doctor, and by Dr. Riccardo Colasanti.

About forty university students have participated from many academic backgrounds: Science in motion physics, Philosophy, Communication Science, Education, Law & Business Administration, the majority of them who were committed from the previous year during the course of development of WYP.
The young participants have shown great enthusiasm and interest to continue their cooperation with the WYP project and to participate in the new rounds of seminaries.
The next seminary in Roma will be on January 16th: "Education towards Peace. If you’re in peace with yourself…who you will be fighting with?". (depliant wyp 2010)

We will let you know what seminaries will take place in others cities of northern Italy.
